It's called V-Nano, it's a sci-fi take on the classic Vampire genre. A company that specializes in inventing Nanocites, creates a nanomachine project that pretty much makes you perfect beings. You have the added perk of having any injuries almost instantly healed (Like Wolverine from X-Men). There's an unfortunate side effect however, the Nanocites in your body that allow you to accomplish this impossible perfection, is also slowly and constantly draining your blood, because the nanocites were programed to absorb Nektyr, which was designed to power the nanocites by putting a high amount of electrical charge within the thick liquid, therefore, the nanocites confuse blood for nektyr, because it's basically the same thing. If a "Nano-Vampire" loses all of his/her blood, the nanocites will still work for about a month before they deactivate, therefore killing the vampire, but in the meantime, the nanocites, having been exposed to this "alternate source", has unpredictable consequences should they not be draining blood all the time. It causes the nanos to short-circuit, causing a great amount of pain and confusion within the vampire, but they cannot die, which puts them into a psychotic berserker-like state because they are in so much pain but cannot die from it.

The story is basically set 120 years after the V-Nanos were created by the company and vampires live among humans, both races accepting what they are. However, the berserker vampires, which people call "The Enraged", are everywhere in the world, giving the "Unraged" Vampires a bad reputation, causing an emotional divide amongst humans, where one side of the humans embrace the vampires, knowing that no matter what they are, they are still human, then there's the "Cleansers", Vampire Hunters that kill all vampire indiscriminately, regardless whether or not they are Enrage, considering them a blight on mankind.

Needless to say, the war between the Vampires and the Cleansers is going to get ugly. They've had 120 years to build up a formidable army who share the same beliefs on Vampires and they are capable of fighting them with bullet that's filled with modified Nektyr, which, when absorbed, prevents the area that was shot from healing for 5 hours, which is more than enough time for a Cleanser to slayer their immortal victims.
